Since July 2020 Venkat is an Independent Consultant helping organizations to implement various ISO standards related to Information Security, Business Continuity and Privacy.
He worked as Head of IT Governance for Amararaja Group of Companies from December 2019 to June 2020. From December 2009 to November 2019 he was the Founder and Consultant of Qualiti Consulting and Learning, a consulting and training organization based out of Hyderabad.
He taught ITIL, Prince2 and COBIT to over 3500 IT Professionals in more than 100 companies in variety of industries that includes IT services, Banking, Pharmaceuticals, Petroleum, Insurance and software. He worked in Singapore, Malaysia, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia and Mauritius on various consulting and training assignments.
He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering from Bangalore University, MBA in Production/Operations, MA in Education and another MA in Adult Education from Indira Gandhi National Open University. He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management and Graduate Certificate in Project Management from Adelaide University, Australia. He has completed Faculty Development Program in Management at Indian Institute of Management, Indore.
A former Doctoral Research Scholar at Sri Sri University he has keen interest in research in the area of Management Sciences. His area of interest amongst others include: Sustainability, Circular economy, Digital learning, Psychology, Higher Education and Leadership.
He has co-authored “Best Practices for Communication between Client and Vendor in IT Outsourcing Projects” Journal of Information, Information Technology, and Organizations, Vol. 3, pp. 61-93, 2008.
